I can see no one has been on this thread in awhile, but I’m on the last third of one of these great smokes as I write this. I do taste the black cherry or sun dried fruit taste from this stick in the 1st third but I find that it is much more prevalent in the 90. This is one of my staple stogies along with the 90. I’ve found that from stick to stick these are some of the most consistent cigars I’ve smoked. There’s not a lot of flavor variance like you get with my favorite stick the padron 1926, but the consistent flavor you do get is great with the fruity earthy flavor at the head to the slightly spicy coffee you get towards the end. And the fact that I’m paying 750 for the robusto as compared to 20 bocks for the 1926 is a huge plus. I would recommend this cigar to anyone who likes a medium to full flavored stick with confidence…great cigar

I too picked up on the black cherry flavor and its one of the things I like the most about this cigar. However, I prefer the 92 to the 90. I must admit that I haven’t smoked anywhere near the number of 90′s to the boxes of 92′s. Though I have smoked several of the other sizes, i prefer the Torro.

Nice review. I too get something like dark fruit out of this cigar. But I’ve always considered it to be “raisin-y.” But, maybe it’s more like dried cherries than raisins…I’ll make sure to take note of it in the next one I smoke. Thanks for the review!

I also prefer the 90 over the 92. The 92 is a good smoke, but there’s just something about it that doesn’t suit me. One thing I can say is that the construction is always fantastic. Nice review.

I love these cigars! I love the 1990′s better, but these are awesome, as well!
