Frank, enjoyed the review. I'd like to add my humble opinion. First the presentation...When I saw the cigar I quite naturally expected good times to come as it looked elegant with the beautiful two bands and cedar sleve. I had no doubt that it was made in Miami with pride. The wrapper, once exposed, well, just looked rich and slightly rustic which made me think it would have a definite taste profile...And that it did. The Cuba Aliados Miami Edition started off with fantastically aged woody notes with a bit of spice that was just right and very smooth. As it progressed I noticed some leather weaving in and out, perhaps only being more dominant toward the last third. The cigar was reminding me of very aged sticks, especially for a largely NIC based leaf smoke. It was never harsh and did not into the realm of nutty or salty...just refined aged wood, spice, and that bit of leather earthiness. I highly recommend these without reserve, I think the world of the Reyes family too as I like their attitude and graciousness. I sell cigars as a sideline out of one of my stores and I try to enlighten people as to this being a much smoother and refined stick whose power is only cloaked a bit by its fantastic smoothness. It costs only a bit more than the usual Reyes stone cold bargain and, as such, is still very much a "good buy"...In fact it can stand with sticks in the $12+ range without any threat of embarassment as it "smokes" many of those whose are riding on a name! Highly recommended!

Hello,

This blend has a Habano wrapper, not Sumatra. Can I ask, where did you obtain the one you smoked? I am really surprised about the construction as well. We only make 300 of these a day, so nothing should really slip past the goalie.

Regards,
