Cigar Review: Alec Bradley Prensado

Today’s cigar comes from the boys at Ashes Tobacconist. The store recently changes owners and is becoming a great cigar shop once again. The Alec Bradley Prensado is a new stick that debuted at the IPCPR this year. Alec Bradley has really grown in the cigar world with their Tempus and SCR lines, the question [...]

Sunday Links

So the readers of this website spoke with the top 10 list of cigars for 2009. Not surprisingly La Traviata by CAO won and now the question remains where will it finish in my own list that will be published on December 21st 2009 along with another $100.00 gift certificate for famous-smoke.com. These gift certificates [...]

Happy Thanksgiving

This is the time of year where we all give thanks so I decided that should extend to my website as well. acigarsmoker.com would not be where it is today without the help of so many people. So today the website will take on the look of a CD liner note as I thank those [...]

Cigar Review: Tatuaje T110

Today’s smoke is the first cigar I have taken a picture of with my new HTC Hero phone. The phone has a 5 mega pixel camera but it still came out a little grainy. I guess I have to play around with it, but it is better then the web-cam I was using in my [...]

Cigar Review: Alec Bradley Tempus Maduro

I searched high and low to find some information on this new release. The Alec Bradley Tempus Maduro is a limited edition produced in the Magistri size that I found in a recent trip to Philadelphia while at Holt’s on Walnut. The cigar was so good I had to bump up the review date to [...]

Cigar Review: Liga Privada T52

The T52 is a blend that was in a holding pattern for a long time as Drew Estate has been working with a stalk cut habana leaf since 2006. The cigar even went through a re-blend during production as they could not decide on test blend #3 or #4. So blend 3.5 was developed and [...]

Cigar Review: Super Selection 12

I know the cigars I have smoked lately have been a little repetitive due to the fact I recently went to the Davidoff of Geneva shop on Madison Avenue in New York City. Today’s smoke was a cigar shown to me by the General Manager, Michael Herklots who I first made acquaintance with on Twitter. [...]

Sunday Links!

Not really sure what to write about today. Baseball season is over, and football this year has been a snore for me. Despite liking the Saints and the Jets I can’t seem to get into it. I cheer for the Saints because I am a huge Drew Brees fan ever since his days at Purdue. [...]

This past week I made it to the Davidoff shop on Madison Ave to meet up with Mauricio from Costa Rica Cigars and to meet Michael Herklots the General Manager of Davidoff in New York City. The Davidoff store on Madison Ave is the place to go to enjoy The Good Life especially on Wednesday [...]

Cigar Review: Davidoff Colorado Claro

It seems like every time I turn around Davidoff has yet another Limited Edition cigar on the market. For me each one is better then the last. Formal limited-edition Davidoffs debuted in 2002 and there have been one or two new blends each year, including 2009. But another special-production popped onto the market last week [...]

Cigar Review: Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pig

I came across this cigar a week ago in Davidoff and to be honest as much as I wanted to smoke it I was hesitant that it would be a novelty cigar. The cigar is a limited edition smoke due to the size being difficult to roll with production being a little over 100 sticks [...]

When I first started this site it was a hobby for me and continues to be such today. However we have grown from 100 hits a day to over 1,500 page views a day. This has allowed us at acigarsmoker.com to begin to charge for advertising space on the site. In the past we used [...]

Cigar Review: CAO Gold Vintage

I happened to be in Holts in Philadelphia this week and they were having an event for CAO. Besides picking up some La Traviata smokes I also picked up some CAO Gold Vintage which is based on the Escaparate CAO Gold from a few years back. Seeing these new CAOs caught me by surprise as [...]
