I am smoking one right now and frankly have to say this is a mild Grand Cru number one. Save yourself the money and pick up a box of Grand Cru #1’s and age them for 6 month to get them to stabilize in your humidor. Don’t get me wrong, I think the Colorado Claro is fantastic and you will not be disappointed. Light it with cedar grab your Port or Scotch and take a vacation.
I have been a long time fan of the Davidoff family. Almost 17 years ago I figured out that I liked Zino’s work and the corporation has done well since his passing. I think they have too many cigars like BMW and the M brand station wagon and bus. I would challenge most to blind test 10 of them and tell them apart. I have been a fan of the Special R, Grand Cru, 1000 & 2000 that make up the name. Half the time you get an aged cigar since the shop usually has them on the shelf for a bit and you always get a good cigar.
Too many men not secure in their manhood will tell you to smoke a manly cigar that grabs you by the throat and tries to beat you down. Davidoff has so much going on that if you lost your taste buds and are looking for something to prove your manhood, keep on walking.

[...] Video runs 14:23 and not only is the Colorado Claro one of the best cigars I’ve smoked this year, its probably one of the best cigars I’ve smoked in my entire life. Its hard to recall a cigar so artfully constructed, so well balanced and not to mention its ingenious and engaging complexity. I actually think you get more than what you pay for. I know its price tag is daunting and its easy to bypass it because of its price tag but I truly believe that this is one of those “once in a lifetime” cigars that if you see, you should get it. Also, be sure to check out Barry’s review of the Special R over at acigarsmoker.com [...]

Barry,

Not a big Davidoff guy due to the prices. I think I might try this one though because of the scores you gave it. Another fine review!

Awesome review Barry! I prefer this in the Special T size but no doubt, each and every size of the Davidoff CC is a winner. This is only the second time I can remember that the Colorado Claro has been released. The last time was like 10 years ago...its definitely a fantastic cigar and worth every penny. Definitely not an "every day" cigar but when you can splurge and if you can find em, definitely a must smoke that shouldn't be put off for a special occasion.
