Barry, I bought a box of these at my # 1 B&M (and killer Lounge - The Cigary in Wilmette, IL - ask for Mr. Bob or Aaron). Mr. Bob, Aaron, my godfather and I stood at the counter as I tore the wrapper off the box. Holding our breath, I opened the box and OMFG!! - We all thought that we were looking at a box of flawlessly nude Halle Berry's wrapped in tobacco leaf!!! There are some gorgeous cigars out there, but I'll be damn if these did not make me think of Halle Berry in the raw. We can now officially use the newest cigar metaphor when we think of a "flawless; oily; perfectly shaped vitola". We shall call it "Halle Like"!!! Although your picture was a good one, I do not think a person can appreciate how utterly beautiful this cigar is in person.

Ok, ok - so how did it taste? This is a PG site - so I will keep this review above board. Exotic? Spicy? Full Bodied? Smooth? ALL of the above and then some. My godfather and I claimed all of your cocoa/chocolate tasting notes, plus the one's above plus a flavor hint we could not quite place until after we smoked it down to about 1/2 inch. Anise flavored tea perhaps? Not sure, but boy was it yummy. OK, I admit I was thinking about Halle in my descriptions, but I did keep the review "legal".

I can only imagine what 3-6-9 months of aging will do to this cigar. I'm willing to take the risk and not touch another one until the early Spring. I did NOT like the regular Tempus Magistri when it first came out - so much so that I have not had another one since first trying it. The Tempus Centuria is worth its given CA rating and I think this Magistri Maduro will also eventually earn a 90+ rating.

So fellow BOTL, I urge you to order a box of these ASAP before they go out of circulation (remember, this is a limited edition release), pull out your copy of Swordfish, pour some Oban 18, light one of these puppies up and ENJOY!!
