Last week at the event we ran on the rooftop of Rick’s Cabaret the general manager of Davidoff NYC stopped by. During the course of this event Michael Herklots handed Tom from Cigar Reader and myself an unbanded cigar. As the oily wrapper had my eye he explained that he was working with the Pepin family on a new cigar that would be sold exclusively at the Davidoff shops in New York City.
What Tom and I smoked was a prototype so this cigar could change by the time it hits the shelves. But for now I would describe the cigar as a beautiful looking torpedo that is glistening with oils. The prelight of the stick offered up notes of spice, wood and mocha. Once lit the smoke has an impeccable burn and serves up complex notes of cinnamon, nuts, coffee, earth and spice. Medium to Full. Look for a full review once the cigar is released.
