This seems to be the year of the distribution change in the cigar world. The latest to undergo changes is Torano Cigars which has announced plans to handle its own distribution beginning on August 1st which used to be handled by CAO. They also changed their name to the Torano Family Cigar Company and unveiled a new logo that has some similarities to the logo used by Porsche.
At the IPCPR the company plans to introduce 3 new cigars and a line extension. The cigars which will premier at IPCPR in August which takes place in New Orleans this year before moving back to Las Vegas in 2011.
The new lines will include 2 premium lines, The Master by Carlos Torano and the Single Region. A 3rd line will be a value cigar available in bundles called the, Brigade. Each of these lines will be available in Brick & Mortars only.
The Torano 50 Years line will feature an extension with a new box pressed vitola.
The Torano Family Cigar Company plans to spread the word via social media and a tour for the Master line with Carlos Torano appearing at the events in 2011.
Torano Family Cigars will operate out of Miami, FL where a new staff has already been hired and are ready to go.
We hope to have more information on this from the floor of IPCPR or as it comes available.
