Seems like cigar festivals are becoming more and more the rage. While they do help promote the community and bring people together one has to wonder when it becomes overkill. Thankfully we have not yet reached the case and a new one is starting up right across the river from my hometown.
The New Jersey Cigar Festival will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium in Newark!
Tickets for the Festival will go on sale on our the official New Jersey Cigar Festival website at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011. General Admission tickets are $100 and VIP tickets are $175.
Here are some of the highlights of the event:
- You’ll get your humidor filled with free cigars when you walk through the gates, which means that the rest of the day belongs to you. (No waiting in line.)
- You can chat with the manufacturers at their booths, or attend one of the several open seminars that will be held throughout the day. (Presenters and times TBD.)
- Two words: free food.
- Special discounts will be available so you can purchase cigars at prices lower than those in PA.
- Of course, smoking is allowed in all areas of the festival, and we’ll have a ton of chairs, tables and ashtrays around, so you can sit and relax.
To stay up to date with the progression of the event including a timeline of the day’s presentations be sure to visit their web-page. Having known the creator of the event David Mallow for a few years it is safe to say this is not an event to be missed.
