Ah the power of social media, and what one can learn on Twitter. Dion Giolito who’s bio reads, “Cigar Brand owner – illlusione – Cruzado – Epernay – Cuchillos Cubanos – Stray Dog – Singularé 2010 EL. Straight-up boutique cigars for heavy cigar enthusiasts” shared with the cigar community his changes for the Cruzado Packaging. From a band tweak to slimmer boxes for the retailers the subtle changes seem to be a huge plus.

2 very smart things, put Illusione on the band and make the boxes easier to display for the retailer. A lot of time you see new packaging just for the sake of it, good to see it for a purpose!

I’m not a fan of the new bands at all. I thought the original bands were some of the coolest on the market to date. Oh well…I can’t smoke a band so it doesn’t really matter that much.

Whoa, the change is so minor, and just adds the illusione to it. Just proves people don’t like change.

I personally found the band change to be subtle and good for brand recognition. So many consumers aren’t educated to know cruzado is part of illusione. All the other cigars Dion produces say illusione on it somewhere.
