Julio Iglesias, a 4th generation tabacalero with his childhood friend Ignacio Pigna is set to enter the cigar market on June 7th at Cigar Cellar in Miami, Florida. Julio Iglesias is the nephew of Christian Eiroa of Camacho and CLE fame. Julio Iglesias spent his summer vacations with his grandfather Julio Eiroa learning about tobacco at the family farms in Honduras. In Miami, Christian Eiroa took him under his wing to learn to the business aspect. With this knowledge he decided to enter the cigar business with his long time friend.
Ignacio Pigna was first introduced to the cigar industry in high school when him and Julio Iglesias would often have personal conversations with a cigar in hand. Wanting to learn more he spent the last few years learning what makes a cigar taste the way they do. He learned the details of the plant from to seeds to harvest. He saw how they were rolled and like many who witness this, he fell in love with the process
In May of 2013, Young Tabacaleros Inc. was incorporated with the hopes that these two young men would become the voice of a new cigar generation. The company was created with the intent to release cigars with unique blends that will define their generation in the industry. In college, they have seen an increasing demand for cigars and in Honduras they decided to blend their first cigar that can be enjoyed by a novice or an experienced cigar smoker.
