Last night I got to sit down with Tom Lazuka of Asylum Cigars which is a part of CLE, the company started by former Camacho owner Christian Eiroa. In the course of our conversation he was able to share exclusively with acigarsmoker.com a new cigar set to be released in the 3rd quarter in the coming months after IPCPR.
The cigars will be co-branded with New Holland Brewery who makes a bourbon barrel stout called, Dragonsmilk. The bourbon barrels in which the beer are made will be used to age the cigars made by Asylum. According to Tom Lazuka, the cigars will be small production and available in 1 size with a 52 ring with an estimated price near $18.00.
The band of the cigar will feature the Asylum badge, with the Dragons Milk logo in the center instead of the number 13 that currently adorns the bands. There will also be a foot band denoting New Holland Brewery. Lazuka also hinted at the release of an Asylum branded bourbon somewhere in the not to distant future though no target date has been set.
He hopes to have some cigars for sampling at IPCPR.
