Cigar Review: Camacho Connecticut

camachocttn

Tomas is back with another review, and this time he brings us the Camacho Connecticut…

I recently stopped by Santa Barbara Cigar Co. (one of my favorite cigar shops in Houston – you can find them off of Westheimer/Royal Oaks) and was visiting with Ken, Tim and Teresa. Ken is the proprietor, Tim is a regular, a friend, and engaged to Teresa aka The Smoking Hot Cigar Chick. I visit the shop almost every Friday, the crowd is typically the same with an occasional stray every once in a while but there’s always a warm and welcoming atmosphere and there’s always something good on the TV. Not to mention that there’s a great selection of sticks to choose from to please everyone’s palate.

Cigar Review: Ramones Criollo by Camacho

I feel like a broken record with yet another disclaimer on the cigar being smoked for review. But once again these come gifted to me and this time the thanks goes out to Dylan over at Camacho. According to an email I got this week, Camacho Cigars has begun shipping it’s latest brand, Ramones. Ramones is an old brand originally introduced by Simon Camacho in the 1960′s. The new version is now shipping and features a Honduran interior blend with a choice of a Honduran Criollo (medium-to-full in body) or an Ecuadorian-grown, Connecticut seed wrapper (medium). The new Ramones is offered in (6) different formats, in both boxes of 25 and 50 (El Guajiro), with very accessible retail prices of $1.95 to $3.95 per cigar.

Cigar Review: Camacho LegendArio

legendario_tn

In case you have not noticed Camacho has become a paid advertiser of this website. Recently I was contacted by them asking if I could review some of there cigars and I was glad to obliged. I asked what cigars they would like me to purchase to review and they informed me not to worry that they will send me some. Some of those cigars were today’s review, the LegendArio. Not being an advertiser here does not mean a good review. It does however guarantee an honest review.

Cigar Review: Room 101 Cigars

I heard good things about these smokes from those who went to the convention and I was dying to try them. Unfortunately they haven’t really begun to show up at shops around the country but I was lucky enough to have a few sent by request. So I thank the good people of Camacho cigars [...]

Cigar Review: Camacho Liberty 2009

It’s that time of year again. Camacho has released the Liberty 2009 edition this past week and once again the cigar is limited to a production of 40,000. I picked up a couple from a cigar shop I used to refer as my home shop. Despite a difference of opinion on customer service I still [...]

Cigar Review: Camacho Diploma Scorpion

I’ll be the first to admit that I am not the biggest fan of Camacho cigars in the world. I did however enjoy the 11/18 when it first came out, but I slowly began to wander from the cigar and I rarely visit it. A few months ago I got the Camacho Diploma Scorpion in [...]

Cigar Review: Don Ramon Maduro

Last week the HJ Bailey Company reached out to me to review a few cigars that they recently came out with as a tribute to the founder of their company. HJ Bailey was founded in 1932 by Raymond Roth and he passed away in 1998. Produced in Honduras by Camacho cigars, these cigars are the [...]

Cigar Review: Camacho Liberty 2007

Keeping up with the better late than never theme this week I decided to reach deep into my humidor and pull out the Camacho Liberty 2007 release. I enjoyed the Camacho Liberty 2008 release, although I thought it needed some age. So with 18 months on this beauty I decided to break open a coffin [...]

Review: Camacho Liberty 2008

My local B&M ordered these at the trade show in Las Vegas and in the blink of an eye they were sold out. I managed to get my hands on 3 of them and after smoking 2 of them I decided to review it. The first one I smoked at a BBQ with a couple [...]
