Cigar Review: Alec Bradley Tempus Maduro

I searched high and low to find some information on this new release. The Alec Bradley Tempus Maduro is a limited edition produced in the Magistri size that I found in a recent trip to Philadelphia while at Holt’s on Walnut. The cigar was so good I had to bump up the review date to [...]

Cigar Review: Davidoff Colorado Claro

It seems like every time I turn around Davidoff has yet another Limited Edition cigar on the market. For me each one is better then the last. Formal limited-edition Davidoffs debuted in 2002 and there have been one or two new blends each year, including 2009. But another special-production popped onto the market last week [...]

Cigar Review: Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pig

I came across this cigar a week ago in Davidoff and to be honest as much as I wanted to smoke it I was hesitant that it would be a novelty cigar. The cigar is a limited edition smoke due to the size being difficult to roll with production being a little over 100 sticks [...]

I find myself digging deep into my humidor lately as I wait for some new releases to make it to my local B&Ms. Buried at the bottom of my humidor was the Avo 80th Anniversary Limited Edition belicoso. The Avo website has this generic description about its limited edition smokes, “AVO Limited Cigars are limited [...]

Cigar Review: La Flor Dominicana Axe

According to Holt’s website, “Here is a symbolic cigar by La Flor Dominicana. Blended and manufactured by Litto Gomez in celebration of Holt’s 110th year of business, this small batch lovely owns up to its name. Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, the “Axe” is as full-bodied as they come. Thick, oily, chocolaty-brown Dominican wrappers abound [...]
