A week ago I was lucky enough to attend an intimate dinner at Nat Sherman with 30 guests and Litto Gomez of La Flor Domincana. My good friend Lindsay Heller informed me of a last minute cancellation and I jumped at the opportunity for this wonderful event. Nat Sherman has undergone a change lately in the eyes of this cigar smoker. Gone is the old feeling and stuffiness that had taken over Nat Sherman in recent years. The is a new fresh feeling to the store thanks to the manager Aaron L. Sigmond and his staff who has slowly begun to change the aura of this historic cigar location.

The dinner which featured out standing food prepared celebrity chef Olivier Cheng that consisted of ruffled shrimp and tuna tartar appetizers, goat cheese soufflé and filet mignon entrees and ginger cake dessert. Each was perfectly paired with The Macallan 15-year, 25-year and 30-year single malt whiskies. But the highlight for this cigar smoker was the LFD Ligero 579 Oscuro Natural – a unique cigar created, and available, only for the evening that might of been the best LFD I ever had.
