Well by this time next week I will be in New Orleans for IPCPR and the Big Easy will never be the same. Tops on my list will be Cafe Du Monde in the morning before the trade show and of course the Twitter Brother Of The Leaf Cocktail Hour where we will be presenting Jerry Cruz with checks that were raised during the JJ4JJ fundraiser.
And now for the Sunday Links which will be on hiatus next weekend.

Over the last few weeks you might of noticed a change to the website. We have brought in a guest reviewer who may or may not stay on as a regular reviewer. We have also broadened the horizons of the site by including news articles as well as our reviews. The question is though, how [...]
Cigar Review: Nestor Miranda 1989
I guess I will start off with a disclaimer. The Miami Cigar Company is a sponsor of acigarsmoker.com and they sent along samples for this review. This cigar is being marketed as a stick for under $5.00 and it seems to be a growing trend with cigar companies making less expensive cigars which is a welcome sign as tobacco taxes go up.
The cigar is available in two wrappers with one being a Rosado and the other being an Oscuro. This review is based solely upon the Oscuro wrapper.
Press Release: Nestor Miranda Collection 1989
Miami, FL…29 Apr…Honouring Miami Cigar & Company’s founding in 1989, the Nestor Miranda Collection presents, 1989.
A beautifully blended combination of Nicaraguan tobaccos, the cigar was blended and is being manufactured by My Father Cigar Corp. It was inspired by Nestor Miranda who described to Pepin Garcia the particular flavour and body he was looking for “…that can be sold at a very reasonable price point, in deference to the prevailing economic conditions.” The cigars will sell for $5.00.

Cigar Review: Nestor Miranda Dominicano Rosado
We would like to thank Miami Cigar Company for sending some samples of these new smokes prior to their release dates so we can share our findings. This is a risky move because despite Miami Cigar Co. being one of our sponsors we will not hide our feelings when it comes to reviews. I personally rather risk losing a sponsor then some readers over an unfair biased review. We promise to remain objective on all cigars no matter how we obtain them. I take great pride in my honesty and straight forward nature and I am not about to change who I am for any reason. A rating cannot and will not ever be bought.

Cigar Review: Nestor Miranda Coffee Break
Miami Cigar & Co. introduced this brand, named for its founder, in 2007. Now made under the supervision of Pepin Garcia in Nicaragua, it is medium-to-full in body and offered in boxes of 20. I recently picked up a box of these at the Cigar Inn event for the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial a few [...]
Event Review: Miami Cigar Extravaganza
The boys at Cigar Inn definitely know how to throw a party. On Saturday December 12, 2009 I decided to head into midtown Manhattan to check out the Miami Cigar Extravaganza with my good friend and business partner Sonny who has contributed to this website in the past. I was eager to obtain a box [...]

Cigar Review: Nestor Miranda 20th Anniversary
I am not sure where I first came across Nestor Miranda cigars, but it was the lancero of the special selection line that made me a fan. So when I found out they were being re-blended by both Nestor Miranda and Pepin Garcia I was a little bit worried because the cigar was a good [...]
