Cigar reviews will resume on Monday as I had a bout of the summer flu, thankfully it twas the week before IPCPR and there were more press releases then one would know what do with. This morning I woke up to 3 separate press releases from different divisions within Prometheus. The items from Prometheus have proven to be true collectors items with some rare Opus releases, and one of a kind blends. This year seems to be no different and I’ve highlighted some of the top releases…

God of Fire 2006 by Don Carlos – Cigar Review

GOF06

I was in Cigar Inn the other day in NYC looking for some cigars to review. It’s gotten tough lately in NYC, and as I tend to support my local brick & mortars the unsmoked cigars are beginning to run dry. It’s at the point where I might have to begin to catalog shop to get me through until new releases come out. Today’s cigar is the God of Fire by Don Carlos.

According to Brent Butterworth, “Carlos Fuente, Sr. (aka Don Carlos) and his son, Carlito Fuente, blended the God of Fire cigars. God of Fire by Don Carlos uses an Ecuadorian wrapper while God of Fire by Carlito has a Cameroon wrapper. Don Carlos and Carlito Fuente have adjusted their blends to suit each size and shape of cigar offered. All God of Fire cigars can be considered medium-bodied, and all deliver a smooth, refined character and a satisfying, full flavor. Beyond those common traits, though, no further generalizations can be made. One must sample all of the God of Fire cigars to experience the wealth of flavors this line offers.”

It’s been great reporting the news and I think for the most part it has been well received but for now it is time to smoke a cigar and share my thoughts with you, not that it matters any. We all have different taste buds and we all have different opinions. Never take my word for a cigar, go out there and try it for yourself. We may agree, or we may disagree but either way you are expressing your right to smoke and are supporting you local shops, mail order houses and manufacturers.

Cigar Review: God Of Fire ’05

Well it is that time of year where you reach into your humidor and pull out a special smoke. I had this beauty given to me by a sponsor of this website, Cigars Direct. I smoked it while attending a holiday party at my local B&M Barrister Cigars. The God of Fire cigars were first [...]
