For the last six years Michael Herklots has opted to celebrate his birthday differently then many. Instead of making it a day about him, he chooses to give back to the experiences that made him the person he is today. As a graduate of Killingly High School he knows first hand how funding isn’t always there for the students as states struggle to pass budgets that often remove programs. Each year he has put together a stellar fundraiser that makes those in attendance happy to give to the cause.

Salem NH (April 18, 2011) – Two Guys Smoke Shop of Salem, Nashua, and Seabrook, New Hampshire will be celebrating its 26th Anniversary on September 21, by giving away a classic automobile, a 1936 Cadillac Fleetwood.
Two Guys, a popular New England Cigar Shop has not only become known for its great retail cigar shops but also for its elaborate anniversary events which have included everything from giving away motorcycles, a Hummer H2 automobile, elaborate trips and cash. They’ve hosted game show presentations and put together a mixed martial arts event. They even gave away a tanker truck of 10,000 gallons of gasoline during the gas crunch and just last year they gave away 250 minted pure silver bars and an authentic Rolls Royce Silver Spur automobile for their “silver” anniversary.

So 2 weeks ago I had the chance to hang out with Jerry Dear from Xikar over at Cigar Inn in NYC and I enjoyed a nice glass of Ron Zacapa Rum with him as we spoke about cigars, accessories, IPCPR, the Royals, the Chiefs and The Yankees. At the end of the evening Jerry gifted me with a XC 6 x 60 Habano Colorado that I thoroughly enjoyed but didn’t take any notes on it.
Then the next night I headed out to Tobacco Plaza in Great Neck, NY to hang with the Danny & Mike as well as Mr. Dear.

The summer is coming to a close with September around the corner and for the most part things are quiet on the cigar front. In the coming we week we should have an interview with Jesus Fuego up on the site who will be taking the time to talk to us about his affiliation with Xikar, Schooling in Cuba, and other lines in the J.
